General Shipping Policy

If you want standard ground shipping, then you don’t need to worry about shipping charges, because its FREE! We feel this upfront pricing saves the hassle of having to add items to your cart just to find out your total cost.

If you are looking for expedited shipping, the shipping charges are based on discounted UPS carrier rates that are passed right to the customer. There are a couple of factors that highly influence the cost of shipping – these include: shipment weight, the size (or dimensions) of the package, number of packages, the destination address and the shipping method.

Shipment Weight – this includes all items that is being shipped as well as any air pillows or kraft paper inserts that keep the products from shifting inside the box during movement to you. Please note that the shipping weight might be 8 pounds if you only purchased a 5 pound box of candy. We want to keep your candy safe and unharmed - that is, until you eat it.

Size (Dimensions) of the package – to ensure that your candy purchase arrives in great condition, we do not overstuff boxes. Like inflating a balloon, you do not want to put too much air into it otherwise it will explode. We also try to keep packages lighter than 50 pounds so that you (and the carrier person), don’t hurt themselves moving the candy along.

Destination Address – our candy selection may be shipped from multiple places around the world. Like an airplane ticket, the further away from home you go, the more expensive the ticket might be.

Shipping Method – the shipping method refers to the speed of the delivery. The faster the shipping, the more expensive it may be.

DELIVERY TIME AND RUSH ORDERS:

If you need your candy in a hurry, please contact customer service before placing your order to discuss options available for rush delivery. Please keep in mind that Boston Fruit Slice may require up to 2 additional business days to process your order before the carrier picks up the items.

Boston Fruit Slice cannot be held responsible for any packages which are delayed due to unforeseen FedEx delays such as "adverse weather conditions", "Beyond FedEx control", or "Missed at facility" - please plan accordingly. Boston Fruit Slice offers tracking numbers for packages for reference use only; this estimated delivery date is only an estimate and Boston Fruit Slice does not guarantee specific delivery dates.

HOT WEATHER SHIPPING (SHIPPING TO WARM LOCATIONS):

During the hot-weather summer period, Boston Fruit Slice reserves the right to hold all shipments from being processed from our warehouse on Thursdays and Fridays to ensure that packages do not sit in a non-temperature controlled shipping warehouse over the weekend. If your package is held for this reason, we will have it shipped from the warehouse on the following business day.

REFUSED DELIVERY PACKAGE:

Any packages refused at the point of delivery will be deemed as “abandoned property”. All refused packages will be returned to buyer at buyer’s additional expense or destroyed. No refunds will be issued for any packages which were refused delivery by any other shipping carriers. If you have any questions regarding why a package was refused for delivery, please contact FedEx at 1-800-GO-FEDEX and have your tracking number handy.

UNDELIVERED PACKAGE:

Before completing your order online, we strongly suggest that you check both your billing address and shipping address to ensure accuracy. From time to time, customers may incorrectly fill these fields and submit orders. Boston Fruit Slice will only ship the products to the address that is supplied on the order. In the case that an incorrect address is supplied, FedEx will try their best to contact the customer to confirm a correct address. If all attempts fail, Fedex will send this product back to Boston Fruit Slice.

If an order is unable to be delivered by USPS or UPS due to an incorrect address as provided by the purchaser, and the package is returned to Boston Fruit Slice, there are two options available to the customer:

The Customer would still like the order reshipped: The customer is responsible to pay a $13.00 Return-to-sender fee (an administrative fee from the shipping company), as well any secondary shipping charges to have the product reshipped to a corrected address.

The Customer would like to cancel the order: if the customer no longer wants the product, the amount refunded will be for the total purchase price less initial shipping & processing costs, less a $13.00 Return-to-sender fee, as well as less a 20% restocking fee.

The carrier will make 3 attempts on business days to make a delivery. If an order is unable to be delivered by USPS or UPS due to the customer not being available for acceptance, and the package is returned to Boston Fruit Slice, there are two options available to the customer:

If I place my order today, when should I expect my delivery?

The speed of the delivery depends on how the order was shipped and the destination to where it was shipped. Boston Fruit Slice processes most orders within 24-48 business hours of confirmation of order. If you have selected a Ground/Standard/Free/Flat Rate shipping method, your delivery is between 2-5 business days once it has been picked up by the carrier. If you have selected a faster shipping method, your estimated delivery may be sooner. But wait, I need my candy really fast, do you have expedited shipping methods?

We do offer several shipping methods including 3-Day shipping, 2-Day shipping and Overnight shipments. Please keep in mind that we reserve up to 48-hours to process the order before shipping. How much does shipping cost / what is the cost to ship my order?

If you want your order to ship ground, there are no additional shipping costs!!

However, if you need your shipment faster, you can obtain a shipping quote. Please add all of candy products you are looking to purchase into your Boston Fruit Slice Shopping Cart. When you're done, click on the "shopping cart", and then “check out”. The first stage of checkout is where you enter the shipping address and choose a shipping method. Boston Fruit Slice offers USPS Priorty, UPS Ground, Three Business Day, Two Business Day, and 1 Business day shipping-options to all of our customers who place orders to be shipped in the United States.

Can you ship to POBOX?

Most ground shipments will ship USPS, therefore, they can be delivered to PO Boxes. Sometimes the weight of the shipment is such that it will have to ship UPS. If you entered a PO Box as a delivery address, and your order has to ship UPS, a Boston Fruit Slices customer service representative will reach out via email or phone to obtain a physical address.

Can BOSTON FRUIT SLICE ship to locations outside the United States?

We currently only ship to the lower 48 states in the U.S.
